Hi Reader, If you are still struggling to wrap your brain around "AI Search", it really comes down to understanding this one thing: → It is not a change in search platform. ➡ It's a change in search behavior. We aren't just optimizing our sales pages for keywords. Instead we are optimizing buyer journey, brand positioning, 3rd-party reviews, and clarity around content. Yes technical SEO still matters. Yes, I still do keyword research, competitor research, backlink building, etc. We are doing our SEO for the people using those search engines. Because the people are now searching the web in a completely different way. This month, I was lucky enough to be invited to write a blog on this very topic for Squarespace Circle. We crack down on the following AI SEO essentials for 2026 with practical "fixes" you can implement right away!

AI is Officially the Dominate Search for Organic SEOIn May, 72% of my leads came from organic SEO. 45% of that was from AI search. If you've been optimizing for AI search for the past 6-12 months, the recent changes in Google AI should work to your benefit. The bigger shift that is happening is that, more and more people are using AI every day. That 72% was, more specifically, from LLM's such as ChatGPT or Claude, and the rest from Google, which could have been traditional search and/or Google AI (they don't separate it in Search Console, sadly). If you want to learn how I did that, I've got a course on it. Until next time! |

Hi Reader, The other day I was doing some keyword research and saw marketing strategist Sarah Moon show up as a competitor for some of the keywords I was exploring. Later that day I saw a friend of mine post one of her stories on Instagram. I clicked on her website and found this blog: Five Red Flags When Hiring an SEO Consultant.
